Let\u2019s see why.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The essence of total preventive maintenance (TPM)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total preventive maintenance represents an organized, standardized, and structured approach to preventive maintenance. What is unique to TPM is that it empowers machine operators to take on basic maintenance responsibilities. The idea is that people who operate the equipment can be upskilled to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/limblecmms.com\/maintenance-definitions\/routine-maintenance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">perform routine maintenance tasks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on \u201ctheir\u201d machines.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total preventive maintenance is used as a synonym for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/limblecmms.com\/maintenance-definitions\/total-productive-maintenance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">total productive maintenance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
