Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Preferred Popcorn is a small business in Nebraska that ships popcorn to 70 countries around the world. They boast one of the highest customer retention rates within the food industry and grow corn for their product in seven states across the United States. With less than 100 employees and expansion as a goal, it is vital that their maintenance team keep production running smoothly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Matt Burtz, Maintenance Director at Preferred Popcorn, was trying to create a maintenance system by hand that would be scalable as the company grows, but he quickly realized that Excel was not going to cut it. They needed a maintenance plan that documented the proper systems for all locations and created standard operating procedures. For the plan to work, however, the whole company would need to be able to access it from anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
